Guitar Slinger "Duke Wilde" is unveiling his blend of Hotrod Rockabilly and Outlaw Country Twang on audiences all around his home land and hopefully yours too.
Having arrived back in Australia from his 2nd successful tour of
New Zealand, Duke Wilde is busy preparing for his debut release through Drop Tank Records.
Since moving back to Queensland in 2002 Duke has been a force within
the Aussie Rockabilly and Alt-Country scene playing at major events on
the callender such as Gympie Muster Mainstage, Tamworth Country Fest,
Great Southern BLues and Rockabilly Narooma, Port Fairy Folk Festival,
Greazefest and Wintersun.
2004 saw Duke touring the USA playing Heavy Rebel Fest in Nth Carolina,
the legendary Doll Hut, Slim Jim Phantom's ( Stray Cats ) Cat Club in
Hollywood and having International releases on several US labels and
gaining regular Airplay on both US, European and Australian radio.
In the last few years Duke Wilde has been seen performing with several
other Legendary Alt-Country / Rockabilly bands such as Red Hot Poker Dots,
The Chrome Daddies and Pistol Whipped ( Rockabilly Supergroup with members
of : Flamin' Locos, Corn Liqour, S C Trash and Chrome Daddies ).
2008 has seen Duke produce several albums by other artists in the Brisbane scene and 2009 is shaping up to be a great year with several projects slated for release.
