DULLEN & DYKEN'S (THE DOLL & THE DYKE)
It all started with two camps; Sensimilla was spinning records in the world of reggae/dancehall and Josephine was singing in the all girl ska band Favelachic. Best of buddies not much time passed before Sensimilla suggested that Josephine should try some of her breathtaking vocals on top of a couple of instrumentals. It immediately became obvious to the both of them that this was something to pursue. They soon developed a new and entirely different soundsystem.
In no time DJ Sensimilla & MC Josephine aka Yvone Coco established themselves as the loveliest and funniest soundsystem around with residencies at several clubs in Copenhagen - including their monthly residency in the intimate surroundings of VEGA Natklubs lounge.
Categorizing them makes little sense as they play everything from deep and heavy hip hop beats to twisted gypsy dub and beyond into explosive drum & bass, and all the way back to good old classics. If theres a thread somewhere it might be in the sheer atmosphere, the live vocals and rhythms sole purposely cut for the dancefloor. DJ Sensimilla & MC Josephine aka Yvone Coco truly love what theyre doing, and so does the crowd.
They have played at many parties and clubs in Denmark, mainly Cph, but also in other parts of the world.
