I am a solo artist looking for a guitar god/goddess and producer whizkid to compose, record and gig with. I'm also interested in hearing from serious artists who'd like me to do their band photography, gig videoing etc.
Influences
PJ Harvey, Siouxsie & The Banshees, David Bowie, Suede, Hole, Morrissey, The Smiths, William Orbit, Luke Haines, The Auteurs, Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, Grace Jones, Smashing Pumpkins, The Rapture, Oxide & Neutrino, Elastica, Kraftwerk, The Stranglers, The Sex Pistols, Philip Glass, Scott Walker, Vangelis (he did the Bladerunner soundtrack).
Sounds Like
Elastica, Luke Haines, Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, William Orbit and PJ Harvey mixed up with other stuff. But not all at the same time!
Hi my name is Dulmini (pronounced 'Dool-mi-nee') and I do alternative rock electro, sometimes punky! I went to art school in Canterbury and have a 2:1 in Architecture but couldn't get a job in the bleedin' industry... so I now try to put my frustrated sense of space/form/texture into my music, photography and videomaking! Who wants to be an architect anyway though eh?! Check out my 2 music videos "If" and "Make You New"!
I was born in London but my parents are of Sri Lankan origin, and I spent 7 years of my childhood going to school there. As a result I am fluent in Sinhalese (I am also a Sinhalese Interpreter) and have a fair understanding of Sri Lanka's amazing ancient culture. You wouldn't guess that from the kind of music I listen to though! Maybe I was Jim Morrison in my previous life?! I just go for ROCK... and on 15th August 2006 (an historic occasion for me!) I bought a gorgeous Fender Telecaster guitar, and am now having lessons to learn to play the goddam thing!!! Yeah but on a more serious note: that sense of mystery you might hear on "If" (featuring Amit Sen on guitar) and "Sama" comes from my days growing up in a devastatingly beautiful part of the world, where things don't always make sense.
Hello, It's always a pleasure to contact my friends, first thanks for your friendship and hope all is well. if you have time, there are some new videos on my page. Life is beautiful. All the best - Pat.
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.
Hey glad you like our noise! Will let you know on gigs - the next one is in Bristol so maybe a bit far. Our first gig we got dubbed "post feminist industrial noise pop" (not sure if I like them using the F word tho', what do you reckon?) Hope you are doing good. Long long long time no see! x El
