  • Bio

Inspired by punkbands from the mid-eighties to the late nineties, they did everything to create a sound equally rocking like their heroes. As these boys grew up listening to bands coming from the west coast, in other words to Californian skate-punk and HC, they naturally took the same musical direction. To put it in a nutshell: they tried to make it fast, loud, melodic, sometimes funny but always honest. I dont wanna use the word real, cause no other word has gotten sucked that dry as REAL, so fuck the realness! Whos real anyway? The bands aim wasnt to revolt against certain authorities or society in the first place, but simply to play Punkrock with love, passion and joy. As the time went by, and the teenagers grew older, the band found out that there are some things in this world, that shouldnt be left without a comment. So they started to write lyrics to express their opinions on certain social and political topics. I repeat, opinion, NOT message!!! These lyrics sometimes include a lot of irony. My mom likes Ska songs, for example or Bitch from Thailand, which is actually based on a real story, but was repeatedly misinterpreted and perceived as offending women in general (which is total nonsense if you know the guys personally). So agree with it or not. Take it or leave it. Best thing, create your own. Goddammit, its a (almost) free world! By the way: Dumpweed belongs to the rare bands, who never took any shit from anybody about how they should sound, dress or behave to show a certain image. They also dont have sponsors, because they think that sponsors are for fucking posers (maybe theyll regret this someday). So, today they can do what they want and dont have to fulfil any expectations to some big spenders. The only people that count to them are the folks coming to the shows, no matter if its 50 or 500.If you rock, they rock. So let's rock! .. ....THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT THROUGH ALL THESE YEARS. IT WAS THE BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES. STAY TUNED FOR SOME NEW PROJECTS. HERE'S TO YOU, CHEERS!!!!!!!! .. .. Live Video for "Little George" .. .. .. .. .. ..
