Lavard Parks (a.k.a. Manifest) was born in Grand Bahama, Bahamas. After graduating high school, Lavard attended the College Of The Bahamas where he was exposed to hip hop music. It wasn't long there after that he became a member of the popular hip hop group, 'Supernatural', founded by Raymond ‘Double Syx’ Eneas.
Since this time Manifest’ evident lyrical and musical growth has placed him at the top of the charts in Caribbean hip hop. In 2000 he founded the record label, Dunamus Soundz Records, widely accepted as the most prolific hip hop label in the region. In just over eight years the company has produced ten albums including Manifest’ solo records: "The Manifestival - Music from my heart" and “Parables – The Silent Struggles”, both of which include music videos. Dunamus Soundz is responsible for producing the nation’s first positive hip hop video, ‘The University of Hard Knocks’ featuring Dove Award winner and Bahamian native, Stefan ‘The Syntyst’ Moss. Manifest is a multi time Marlin Award Winner, the Caribbean’s premier Gospel Awards show. He has performed extensively throughout the Caribbean and the U.S, meeting with top industry professionals and artists. He is steadily building a firm reputation in the music industry in Florida, Georgia, Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey and throughout The Caribbean. Manifest is also the Founder of Truth-Hip Hop Fest, an annual program dedicated to educating aspiring artists in the music industry while spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through hip hop.
Manifest’ immediate plans are to help other aspiring artists achieve their God given purpose as he continues to develop the company and world-class studio of Dunamus Soundz Records. His third solo album ‘His Life, His Mic’ is on the verge of being released while his second solo album Parables enjoys the distributed ride through Mr. Del’s Holy South. Manifest is married to Radel Parks, Marketing & PR Director of Dunamus Soundz and CEO of Sharma Entertainment.
