I record with a lot of different musicians. All my productions are done with the musician's union. Players I've hired have recorded with Patsy Cline, Alabama, Garth Brooks, Cheap Trick, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Monkees, Neil Diamond, Kid Rock, Nancy Griffith, and Elvis, to name a few.
Influences

The songs above are written by Adlai Waxman and Tom Yeager, Bill Osofsky and Shelia Quattlebaum, Joanne Lurgio , Vanessa Bailey Bridges, and Joe Wrabek. Tom's and Adlai's were done at my home studio, with Vicki Carrico singing Can't Find Love on the Dial and Tim Buppert singing Montana Sun. We recorded the rest of them at the Pineyfest Demo Derby. Part of Pineyfest, a wild music convention put on by Bobbie Gallup for the folks of JPF.com's Lyric 3 forum, the Demo Derby is held at Rick Otts' Stringhouse. I brought my whole studio set up there for the tracking then went home to sweeten, mix and master. We did forty songs in two days. Bill and Shelia's song, "I'd Rather Be Broke in Nashville" is sung by George Clark, a great bluegrasser and one of the session singers we recommend. The other songs were sung by the songwriters. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My name's Mike Dunbar. I produce and play on demo and master sessions in Nashville. I've recorded on sessions with Razzy Bailey, Delbert McClinton, Kathy Mattea, Hal Ketchum, Dobie Gray, Townes Van Zandt, Tommy Overstreet, and Joanne Cash Yates among others. All the songs on this site are recordings I've produced and played on. I hope you like them. Mostly I play bass, electric or upright, but I've been on recordings playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, 12-string, mandolin, banjo, keyboards, percussion and background vocals. You can find more information about my recordings on my webpage. The link is off to the left on this page.

My deep apologies for the late response to your friends request. Been so involved and absorbed with the music CD release, and it is such a beautiful way to speak to hearts - for Harmony, Balance, Abundance, Peace - and now is the time!
Thank you for the add and for sending forth harmony with your unique and sacred gifts. Thank you for the friends add - I am honored to be a part of your circle of friends.
Merry Christmas to one of the most talented producers in nashville......I am so lucky to have some co-writes with someone of your musical ability and you are a amazing producer who always makes any song the best it can be...
How are you? I know you are still out of town but I wanted to take a moment while I was thinking about it and send you a big thank you note. The demo's you did for me are awsome. Tell the guys they did a great job too. I can't begin to tell you how much of a joy it was to record with you and you did a great job with my vocals. After listening over the last few days I think I like the first mix of "It's All Country" you did before I gave you my input. There may have been something wrong with my ears from driving through the mountains the first time I listened to it. Anyway it sounds great so I am going to use it. I can't wait to hear "Someone To Use Me Again" when you get it mixed. The vocal sound you were giving me in the head phones was great! Thanks for working with me so patiently on that one. I am sure it is going to come out great also. I think it may be the best of the bunch. Anyway thanks again!!! Jeff
How are you? I am really looking forward to coming in to record. You were saying you had another guy that was wanting to have you do one of his tunes. I was looking at what I have writen recently and I may have 3 or 4 I also know another guy who may want to have you do one. We can talk about it when I come in to lay my vocal tracks. I am haveing a blast singing with the tracks you sent me! Great Stuff!!!

Hey when you get a chance go and listen to my neweast tune "You Make It Hard". It is the first song on my page. I think you will either love it or hate it and I would like to know which one.
Saw you online and just wanted to say hey and thanks!!! Can't wait to hear the demos of my songs! I'm like a kid waiting for Santa Clause. I have a song that I have been working on that I think is going to be real good. It has a very strong hook. I just didn't have it done in time to send you this time but when I come in to lay down vocals I need to talk to you about getting it demoed.
Thank You MIKE DUNBAR!! Thank you to you et al! I had tons of fun recording.. couldn't wipe the smirk off my face just listening all the great sounds coming alive in my songs! You guys are awesome! Can't wait to hear the final mixes! All the best Joanne
