| About Duncan Houston |
|
Duncan Houston was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. He entered a talent contest at "Nashville North", a local country bar, at the age of 16. From that moment on, he was hooked. He formed a duo and played the small restaurant/lounge circuit for the next 10 years. Duncan then branched out playing in many different bands doing everything from Country, Blues, Rock, and Oldies. He played guitar and sang for Dakota, The White Saddle Band, Cheatin' Heart, The Way Out West Band, and Midnite Rider, just to name a few. In the spring of 2000, Duncan decided to take a chance and see what would happen if he moved to Nashville, TN. Within the first 2 months Duncan landed a gig at "Legends Corner" in the heart of downtown Nashville right on Lower Broadway. He plays the morning show as a solo act 4 days a week. Duncan has had a tremendous amount of great things happen since moving to Nashville. He has been featured on several TV programs including "Nashville On Stage", "Nashville Video Showcase", and "Fox Thing In The Morning" hosted by Charlie Chase. Duncan has played at just about every club in downtown Nashville in one capacity or another. In July of 2000 Duncan won first place in the band showdown at The Wildhorse Saloon. You can still catch Duncan at "Legends Corner" every Mon-Thur from 11am - 2:30pm and at Duggers Food And Fun in Murfreesboro every Mon-Fri from 4pm-6pm
