Duncan Jay was born in the second largest steel producing city in the U.S., Birmingham, AL. (The first of course bieng Pittsburgh, PA but you already knew that, didn’t you?) Growing up, Duncan formed his own all-consuming make-believe world and played out his own imaginitive scenarios so convincingly that before the age of 5 his mother had already taken him for a spinal tap after faking his own paralysis. (True story.)
His mom remarried and moved to Merritt Island, FL, home of the NASA space program and "I Dream of Jeannie." As a little Duncan unpacked his chic trash bag luggage in his new home, he knew big things were to come. As he matured, Duncan’s fearless nature drew him to several short lived vocations - door to door vacuum cleaner salesman, gentlemen’s club DJ, surf bum, fry cook, and ADD spokesperson. To be sure, luck rained down on Duncan Jay during his years in Florida and he still found time to win some of the states highest awards for acting and debate (who would have thunk it?)
After a brief stint in one of Florida’s most prestigious community colleges and the Army Reserves, Duncan moved to New York City in 1998 to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts like Robert Redford and Danny DeVito before him. While there he found that what moved him was not Tennessee Williams, but Robin Williams. George Carlin not George Gershwin. He was destined not for a life in the theatre, but at a comedy club, alone in front of a microphone.
THAT’S His story and he’s stickin to it!!

Let me just start by saying I am the quintessential and self proclaimed "Jack of all trades master of none" I know a little bit about everything and everything about nothing.
Music
Again I'm into everything. and I mean it, most people write everthing but country. But I like that too. I have to I'm from Alabama. It's a law really I can't do anything about it. It's a federal thing, you know, don't blame me blame Bush.
Television
Just some shows I've watch recently that weren't that bad....Everbody Hates Chris...Chris Rocks answer to Malcolm in the Middle....I Hate reality TV, no really I do, some people say they hate it and it is acually a guilty pleasure, but I genuinely despise it, let me put it this way if everyone hated it the way I do it wouldn't exist any more. As cheesey as they were I really like the sit-coms from the 70's and 80's All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Alice, I even liked Barney Miller...of course I like the classics I dream of Jeanie, Bewitched I Love Lucy....speaking of love I Love or as all the computer geeks do
I <3 THE FAMILY GUY...one of the best written shows on TV....and as far as cable shows I like the cable talk shows like Bill Mahr and Bob Costas.... I also like Da Ali G Show, Huff, Dead Like Me(cancelled put great none the less) and ROME (see movies) I love historical stuff.
Books
I read sometimes!
Heroes
Well I could list a bunch of them but when I think of heroes I think of people who have struggle and strife yet still overcome all that is put in their path...so I have to say my biggest hero is the person closest to me and who know the most about me My MOM.

Who I'd like to meet: Iteresting people with different points of view. People who can argue (with out fighting) then agree to disagree (with out being bitter) and then still be civil enough to have a beer with each other... and laugh at my jokes (even the corny ones)!
