I couldn't imagine life without animals, it makes me seriously sick when I hear of the horrific things that people do to them. Dogs forgive and forget so readily it amazes me. We have a pitbull at our shelter who was rescued in Louisiana after Katrina. He was severely burned by his "human" (low life scum) with acid and tied behind a pick up truck and dragged. He nearly died twice from infections and other complications, but he's a great dog waiting for the right person to take him home.
I've really had a lot of my faith in humanity restored by volunteering at Pets Alive.
It does my heart good. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Take good care of yourself and thanks so much for voting for Pets Alive. This is my first contribution to "society" (not society as most peeps know it tho') since being out of work on disability for the past 3 years.
I can't tell you how good it feels to love up on dogs that were destined for death row just hours before Pets Alive said "Yes" to them. Ok, I'm about crying now...

Not much is new with me, just living and trying to cope with the daily crap that chronic pain deals me.
If if you feel like it and want to vote for the no-kill animal sanctuary that I
volunteer at they could really use the support. I never realized how
much a no-kill shelter puts out monetarily to do what they do. I love
Pets Alivel A few days a week, I actually feel able to help out and love the dogs there. That's good therapy for me and them.

The challenge runs thru December something, every vote helps a lot!
