Welcome to The Underground, USA. I am DuNoiss Du Shaunt my elders have often told me that I have an old soul. I have come to believe them. I know that I am a chosen vessel and a willing tool. I have yielded my being to the gift of writing. My writings have become my salvation. There have been times in my life when I didn't have the energy to write. I would recite some of my writings or listen to some of my music, thus liberating my soul. It was through this experience that I knew I had to share my gift. It was not mine to keep. As I try to put a background to what I do, I think it could be from my urban old fashioned upbringing, along with my desire to continue to appreciate all art forms past and present. It could be my deep Spiritual roots that have cut into my abstract soul, therefore creating a fabric that connects my art to the past, present, and future. My grandmother raised me in South Dallas, TX. She was born in 1917. She introduced me to the old way. My foundation is for real old school. When I was a little boy we used to wash our clothes in the bath tub and hang them out on the clothes line to dry. In the winter we would wash the clothes in the bath tub, put them in a grocery store shopping cart and wheel them to the washateria with $1 worth of quarters to dry all of our clothes. My mother has been missing since I was 8 years old. The last words that she said to me was I will be back,I have not seen nor heard from her since that day. My grandmother took care of us on her $400 dollar a month social security check. I am grateful for my humble beginnings because it causes me to never take anything for granted. My ambition is to combine the antique and modern ways of life, to create a path that leads us back to ourselves. My artistic style is a combination of classical jazz, hip-hop, ambient grooves and poetry. The music itself is an expression of music as art. In my work you will find messages of hardcore love, a passion for life, spirituality, life issues, and politics. I am a poet and a lover of the arts. The uniqueness in my work is there are no boundaries. I create from within. Most people can take the works and make them their own. That has always been the vision for my art. It is a gift, I share it with others. I am a servant of mankind. I hope you enjoy my offerings. I hope that your children and your children's children will enjoy my work. The music that you are hearing on my page is from my forthcoming album entitled The Fuchsia CD. This project is dedicated to all of the beautiful women in the world. I will be donating proceeds from each album sold to The Genesis Woman's Shelter, a secret safe haven for women and their children to go to escape and heal from domestic violence. I hope to one day own several safe houses all over the world to keep our women and children safe. 4 those of you who keep asking what kind of music I do, I call it NGenre. NGenre is my alter ego. It is a space in the world where everything about me disappears and I am guided by the energy of God. With that said, I don't need any labels or titles. Just call me DuNoiss.

Sometimes when i look around, all i see is misery, despair, frustration and pain...
