Starting life as a Birthday party in 1992, Dunstaffnage grow year on year into an independent Festival that showcased the best New Talent & Established artists operating out with the main stream Pop line up's.
This festival sat on the shore at the edge of the Western Isles, in the grounds of Dunstaffnage castle just outside the town of Oban. With its Island views and deep red sunsets the Castle grounds gave a stunning location for this lovely Event.... so if you love your music and like to listen surrounded by nice people and you were not there. well you missed somthing good. ------------ www.dmfoban.co.uk

About me: Due to difficulty's in re-financing the operational debt of the Event, Pikey & I can not afford to keep running the festival as it is..
We have been focusing all our efforts on paying the outstanding bills and can not risk or afford to stage the event again in 2009 ..
The festival has always been backed by personal financial investment with an aim to showcase the wealth of talent that exists out with the mainstream music environment and to increase the diversity of entertainment available in the area .
Although we feel we were achieving these goals it has become impossible to maintain the huge financial investment required to continue growing the event and we have decided to concentrate on paying off the outstanding debts before the situation become untenable.
We would Like to say a big Thank you all who helped put the festival on over the years and to all the Artists that preformed ..
We hope to find a way throw this situation and carry on what we started, but for now that is it..
Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
