About me: The Dunstaffnage Music Festival (Oban) started as a Birthday party in the garden in 1992. It has grown year on year into an exciting independent festival that's aim is to showcases the best new talent & established artists outwith the main stream Pop line up's. Dunstaffnage provides an intimate atmosphere and free camping facilities, with 5 stages operating mid-day till 1am, delivering a high quality blend of national and international talent spanning Indie, rock, reggae, comedy, film, folk, Celtic, electronic, funk, soul, jazz and dance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Situated 2 hours from Glasgow and 1.5 miles outside Oban, the site is on the shore by Dunstaffnage Castle, looking west to the islands of Lismore & Mull. This location provides a stunning destination at the end of a journey that will take you through some of the highlands most dramatic landscapes and with a bus service to the town, it offers easy access to all the usual amenities & travel links.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This festival is run by people who want to give Scotland a more interesting events calendar and the programme has much more to offer than just music. An array of Art installations, street performers and puppet shows populate the site along with full food concessions to suit all tastes and licensed bar facilities open till 1am. Dunstaffnage! Pikey, Matt, Stevie et al... Thanks for everything. Nanobots were excited as a particle accelerator by our reception at this year's Dunstaff. Thanks to all the visitors, locals and crew who made this our best gig of the year so far. Best wishes for the future (sorry, we're not allowed to tell you what happens...) Bzzzzzzzzzzzz•߬ߺ bleep
