Duo Millenia is a unique combination of double bass and harp. Since 1997 accomplished virtuosi John Dahlstrand and Elisabeth Chardonnet have been delighting their listeners with a truly one-of-a-kind sound.
Audiences and presenters have unanimously lauded Duo Millenia's performances. They have been featured in North American and European music festivals.
Recital programs include both duo and solo repertoire. Drawing from many musical periods Duo Millenia performs baroque, classical, romantic and modern works as well as original compositions by John Dahlstrand. They also offer theme-based Arts Outreach programs designed for grades k-6 in which children are exposed to these fascinating instruments. Program themes include "The Sounds of Music" and "When Two Musicians Meet".
Scheduling this ensemble is easy and surprisingly affordable. Duo Millenia is registered on exclusive performing arts registries. The Arkansas Arts on Tour (arkansasarts.com) and the Mid-America Arts Alliance (maaa.org) provide grant opportunities that can cut performance fees up to 45 percent in some cases.
