Duplex Gage are a 4 piece alternative rock band originating from South London, who were formed by Rick Bashford (Lead Singer). Rick quickly found drummer, Paul Doy and later found the perfect line up in Andrew Mulhern (Bass) and Elliott Dyer (Guitar) . Using a wide range of influences from current and classic rock bands, Duplex Gage use an innovative combination of guitars, keyboards, drums and soaring vocal melodies to carry the listener to new musical dimensions.
The band have received rave reviews from XFM, Panartists, BBC and Xscape Promotions to name a few, and have received airplay on XFM, and Edge FM and Texas Red Hot Radio in the USA, as well as many internet radio stations. Duplex Gage have been headlining some of the UK..s top venues for over 5 years and have been one of the few unsigned bands to sell out the Camden Barfly on their last 5 appearances.
"Described on their website as having "thought provoking lyrics, catchy melodies and rocking beats," Duplex Gage did exactly that" BBC Guilfest 2005
"Seeing many unsigned bands around London, the one thing that stands out is how the lead singer works the crowd and how they respond singing every word" Xscape Promotions, August 2006
Recorded at New Moon Studios during March 2006, Headstoned is the 2nd EP to be released by the band since 2004, and is just a small taster of what this South London band is capable of. The 1st, Bleeding on the Inside, to date has sold over 8,000 copies and is still highly regarded, selling through iTunes, CD Wow, CD Baby and Tower Records to name a few.
