After a period of solo explorations (CD Ultraboles, named “Revelation 2005” in Guitarist-bass), Hubert Dupont renews the pleasure of gathering together a small, mobile unit of trusty souls who are ready for anything, and proposing new pieces to them, conjuring up improvisations with enigmatic rules.
This band started late 2004 as a trio. Fall of 2006, Hubert invites Rudresh to join in and record Spider's Dance : the release, in may 2007, is followed by concerts in France and in the US.

New-Yorker Rudresh Mahanthappa, is definitely a strong voice, not only for his tone on the alto sax, his conceptions when composing, and the vibrancy of his interpretations : he finds in his familial background (India), original rythmic and melodic tools, bringing new colours to modern jazz. Often with pianist Vijay Iyer, he also leads his own projects, some of them with indian musicians . The Downbeat International Critics’ Poll named him Rising star of the alto saxophone…
Yvan Robilliard, a sophisticated young man and already experienced in a certain new scene (especially with the bands IXO, AZAD), released his first CD (on Nocturne), a solo.
The Amsterdam based Chander Sardjoe, former drummer of Steve Coleman as well as Dave Liebman, is an accomplice of Hubert (Kartet since 1996, three records, concerts...) with a precise and abrasive drumbeat.

Hello ! On sort notre premier véritable album intitulé "New Tricks For Old Dogs" ce lundi 30 mars, et on tenait à partager la bonne nouvelle. Pour fêter ça nous jouons ce même soir à la Mécanique Ondulatoire à Paris.
