New-Yorker ..Rudresh Mahanthappa.., is definitely a strong voice, not only for his tone on the alto sax, his conceptions when composing, and the vibrancy of his interpretations : he finds in his familial background (India), original rythmic and melodic tools, bringing new colours to modern jazz. Often with pianist Vijay Iyer, he also leads his own projects, some of them with indian musicians . The Downbeat International Critics’ Poll named him Rising star of the alto saxophone… .. .. ..Yvan Robilliard.., a sophisticated young man and already experienced in a certain new scene (especially with the bands IXO, AZAD), released "Mouvance", a solo, and "Intuitions", a trio album. .. .. Now Paris based ..Chander Sardjoe.., former drummer of Steve Coleman as well as Dave Liebman, is an accomplice of Hubert (Kartet since 1996, three records, concerts...) with a precise and abrasive drumbeat (Aka Moon ; Octurn ; Mario Canonge and Linley Marthe ...).. .. Alto saxophonist ..Denis Guivarc’h.. has been an accomplice of Magic Malik Orchestra for ten years, 5 albums and worldwide tours.
