About me: Welcome to Durango's Canyon
Deep in the piney woods of East Texas lies Durango’s Canyon. Not just an RV park, but one of the finest outdoor amphitheatres in the world. We offer an onsite grill with live entertainment each weekend. Durango’s is a unique venue where you can gaze at the stars, under the stars.
We were formally known as Rose Ampitheater but have changed our name and management. We are now up and going and waiting for you to come see us!!
Who I'd like to meet: If you’re looking for a place to stay let us help you out. With 120 acres of beautiful land, 2 ponds, restaurant with live entertainment on the weekends, concerts in the crater, and the fresh country air where you can still see the stars then Durango’s Canyon is your place to be.
We have 114 RV spots with full hookups. 30amp and 50amp hookups are available as well as tent camping. Need a place to hold an event?? We are your place once again!!

ATTENTION EAST TEXAS ENTERTAINERS: As of Saturday, April 18th, We have been asked by Mike Tarbutton, Manager of Durango's Grill, to assist him in finding local musicians for their Saturday night's entertainment. If you're local, (within a radius from Henderson, Texas to surrounding cities like Tyler, Longview, etc.), and would be interested in performing at the Grill, please contact us, Don & Sue Lummus, preferably through email or our Myspace Message Board. We promise to reply to all contacts and consider them for booking. A few "hard facts" about booking at Durango's Grill. First and foremost: The gig would be from around 7:00pm until 9:30 or 10:00pm on Saturday evenings, and entails as payment a free meal for each performer (any item on the menu), plus tips from Customers. To date, tip amounts have been averaging around $60.00 dollars or so, but there's no guarantee of any set amount at this time.
Second: In order to be considered being booked, all potential entertainers shall be required to furnish at least 2 or more references from managers or owners of previous places one has played. (References with favorable reports would be preferred). If no "outside of family and friends" references are available, and you are fairly new to the stage, a demo cd of your abilities will be required. If you're looking for a place to hone your stage skills, and gain experience in front of live audiences, this would be the perfect venue... Contact Time is "officially" now open.. Let us hear from you. Oh, and one more VERY IMPORTANT requirement.. Please no Head-Bangers, Rap "singers", or extremely loud performers. This is a relaxed, family-oriented place, very small, and the customer base is mainly East Texas Country folks.
