    well i've got a 50 2.8 macro. i wouldn't need a 200 or anything for portrait, just a fast lens which my 50 covers, i just want a wide angle for portraits. i have an 18-55 but the lens cracked with i took it on vacation, so it has to be replaced anyways. i bought alien bee's. i got a 800 unit with a 24x30 softbox.

    i went crazy. i bought my studio set, my battery grip, and i'm about to purchase an 18-200 3.5 and sell my 18-55 and 55-200. It's pointless having those when I can combine them. Dont'cha think?

    i know. i was so pissed. like 3 weeks ago, my boss wanted a new camera, and i talked her into the d60 (because it's a nikon, and she doesn't need anything more advanced)  - so when the house blew up, i yelled for her, and basically pushed her and her husband out of the door to go and take pictures, lol. they are giving me a copy today. i'm pretty excited. i'll upload some pictures so you can see them. i'm thinking i should come out to the country where you are and take some pictures. i know a lot more than i did back then. plus, i shoot with a way better camera. what'cha say?
