Dust Art is a band representing a half-way house between the eclectic pop of the seventies and the electronic sounds of a future yet to be imagined.
Bringing together the sounds of electric guitars and synthesizers whilst combining successfully with the graceful melodies of the harp, Dust Art imagine and create a sound which is powerful, mournful, bordering sometimes on the unreal. The whole tainted with a shade of nostalgia as if in honour of the era which saw the birth of rock.
The singer songwriter first directed his energies into the guitars before falling to his knees in front of the surreal sounds of classic synthesizers.
After several concerts in California during 2000, the band left L.A. heading towards its destiny and meeting, late 2001, a producer with a passion for the melodic sounds of synthesizers thus enabled the birth of Selected shivers.
Listening to this first creation leaves you thinking of the multi faceted rhythms of David Bowie, whilst some of the compositions carry with them the poetic transparence of Pink Floyd.
Emotional, provocative, and from to time disturbing, Dust Art creates a sound which is above all a different idea of what pop can be, a journey which reveals the presence of a paradise lost...
Selected shivers was put together as a whole, the different songs brought together with mysterious transitions, up to the final crescendo of Project 15, which leaves you with a joie, a hope to still believe, to feel that maybe music can bring peace and change things.
