I was born the night Saturday Night Live debuted in the small hill country town of Kerrville, Texas. By the fifth grade I would skip school to write songs and dream of marrying Nancy Wilson from Heart. Music has always been a part of my life. It seeks me out like morning coffee. I make music because I am compelled. It is something I have to do, like breathing or taking a shower. Music is an expression of the soul. It is finding the words, the chords, the colors, to try and say what you really feel. Music can express our deepest longings or our sincerest doubts. It is an outlet, a gift and a freedom that knows no boundaries.
Some will like the music I make, and that is very cool, but others won't and that is understandable. We all have different tastes. As a person, as an artist, I am constantly evolving. I strive to write music that has something to say. I am addicted to hope and hopelessly searching for truth.
I have had the honor of playing with many gifted musicians over the years. I was the rhythm guitarist for the alternative rock band GS Megaphone for a few years. We toured all over the country and I got my first recording experiece at Ardent Studios in Memphis. After leaving the band I had a three hour alternative rock radio program in Pine Bluff Arkansas and helped organize area concerts and festivals. Recently I took a break from pursuing music as a career to make babies and work on a few writing projects. I am in the process of recording an EP which should be finished shortly. Stay tuned and thanks for listening...
