Recently graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Music
Performance: saxophonist, vocalist, composer and arranger, Dustin Bear, has prepared a
musical performance second to none and is getting ready to tour his act around the world.
His show boasts a twelve-piece orchestra with a string quartet engaged in every musical
aspect of pure entertainment; with the addition of Dustin’s smooth sax, his sound ignites
the passion of every audience.
Don’t let his recent “college experience” fool you. Dustin has been performing and
playing music professionally to audiences for over 20 years in many bands, shows and
venues all around the world. He has preformed with such famous artists as Michael
Brecker, Arturo Sandoval, Poncho Sanchez, William Schaffner, Bruce Springsteen’s
saxophonist Clarence Clemens, Earth Wind and Fire, Lionel Ritchie, Jerry Bergonzi,
¡Cubanismo! and many more. He has appeared live at The North Sea Jazz Festival in
Rotterdam of the south province in the Netherlands opening up for Phil Collins. He’s also
performed at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland and at the Ocho Rios
Jazz Festival in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Dustin’s musical passion hasn’t come from the delight of fame or fortune but
rather from the inspiration of his grandfather who played the saxophone performing with
local bands in his hometown. His grandfather, growing up in the big band swing era,
taught his experience and playing style to Dustin at an early age. Within a few years of
following in his footsteps, Dustin has taken his musical talent to new heights and
continues to inspire the ears of his listeners. He still plays his grandfather’s saxophone.
Entertaining on Princess Cruise Lines over the past year, Dustin is planning to
continue his future performances on major Cruise Ship Lines. His most recent appearance
was in his hometown of Centerville, Iowa performing a Halloween Benefit Concert to
help raise money for the local school’s music programs. It was also the premier
performance of his world tour show and was received with great success.
