When I was younger, I listened to a lot of Kyle Evans and George Strait. When I started following more live shows, I also became a big fan of guys who really understood how to work a crowd. Guys like Chris LeDoux, Neal McCoy, and Garth Brooks.
Dustin got involved in music at a very young age, influenced mainly by his father. Dustin learned most of his dad's songs and was singing them with true pitch at the age of three. As a teen, he taught himself to play guitar, drums, bass, and piano, and began writing his own songs.
After High School, Dustin started a band called the Outriders, and later joined Good Times, an already popular South Dakota act. Good Times is comprised of extremely talented musicians with a wide range of influences and experience.
Award-winning talent buyer Gil Cunningham took a liking to Dustin and the band and booked them for several major festivals over the next few years. Corporate sponsorships with companies like U.S. Smokeless Tobacco and Roper Apparel and Footwear soon followed. They were playing bigger shows, performing original material, and further expanding their fan-base as a result.
The group's talent and likeability has spawned friendships with some of the biggest names in country music, which makes them very popular as an opening act for such artists.
"Dustin Evans and Good Times" has gone on to gain outstanding regional popularity, and Dustin has since relocated to Nashville, TN, where he hopes to further the band's success, as well as his own songwriting abilities.
He has recorded four albums in Nashville. He also released a CD single of an original song called "If I Die Before You Wake" that has become very popular among our armed forces and their families.
After the untimely death of country legend Chris LeDoux, Dustin was asked to join LeDoux's band, Western Undergound, to do a series of concerts. The band brought some of Chris's music back to his fans, and gradually began to incorporate new material. They recently released their first album project, Unbridled.
Each band is doing well, and Dustin plans to stay involved with both, as long as the schedules permit.

Hey Dustin...enjoyed your song 'If I Die Before you Wake.' My son Eric and I have just released our newest military oriented song 'Never Forgotten' jointly on his site and my site. It is a song we co-wrote that honors our military men and women who serve in harms way every day around the world. Please check it out on my site or Eric's site: www.myspace.com/ericgeibel . Hope you enjoy this sad but real song that reflects the reality that our collective military families face every day. Have a wonderful weekend. Warm regards, peace and light, your Georgia friend & fan & Navy Seabee Veteran, Bruce Geibel

Hey Dustin, just sailing in to say hi and thanks for the add. I really like your song "If I Should Die Before You Wake." I have listened to it for over a year and have your U-Tube video on my site. Now got this song on my player to ID you and allow others on myspace to hear it along with other military oriented songs around the 4th of July. My son, Eric Geibel, country singer-songwriter in Louisiana, also has a song "Navy Seabee" on my site and his site. Check him out. Our military serving in harms way have allowed us to celebrate our independence at home in relative peace and freedom since 1776. Thanks so much for your support of our military.
