From Nashville, TN, Dustin Overbeek is a singer/songwriter whose songs explore much further reaching boundaries. Growing up with influences ranging from James Taylor and Bob Dylan to Marvin Gaye and John Coltrane, the content in Dustin’s writing reflects introspection into the concerns of the human spirit. His first full length project, “Notions”, with John Kelly, contains many references to nature in the midst of joy and struggle. With a “roots” acoustic sound, Dustin’s intimate lyrics and raw style shine through. Dustin’s strong Christian belief comes through in his second full-length album, “Grounded”, produced by Gene Golden, quarter-century keyboard player for Kenny Rogers. Dustin’s third album entitled “One Step Closer” was released in the summer of 2005. This is Dustin’s first album with a full band all natural sound. Dustin ventures back to the secular world and returns to his folk, storytelling roots. "One Step Closer" includes some of Nashville's best studio players (Rob Hajacos on fiddle--Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Sugarland and many others; Casey Dreissen on fiddle--Steve Earle, Bela Fleck, John Mayer and Tim O'Brien; Steve Smith on drums--Goose Creek Symphony; John Kelly on Guitar--John Kelly Band and Leftfield Jackson).
I Can't Fly was just released in December 2007. I Can't Fly was produced by Robert Reynolds and Jim Reilley, featuring players such as Steve Bowman (Counting Crows), Charlie Chadwick (Shelby Lynne), Rob Hajacos (Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Neil Diamond), Jen Gunderman (The Jayhawks), Robert Reynolds (The Mavericks), Al Perkins (The Rolling Stones, Emmylou Harris, Stephen Stills, Gram Parsons), Pat McLaughlin (John Prine). This mellow thought-provoking album magnifies Dustin's songwriting lyrically and melodically. Pick yours up today at Snocap or at www.dustinoverbeek.com . Dustin's music continues to mature both musically and lyrically. Keep your eyes wide open for this talent!
My new record just came out this week on I-Tunes and CD Baby. I have included a video talking about the record, hope you enjoy it! Please leave us some feedback to let us know what you think! Thanks for your support.

PS: This album would make a great stocking stuffer ;)
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
Hey, I recorded a new song yesterday, it's called Masquerade--based on the ballroom scene of Romeo and Juliet. Just wanted to stop by and give you the free download if you'd like it and haven't picked it up yet:
I hope you enjoy it; if you do, please pass it on to your friends and spread the love :)
There's a place in Johnson City call the Down Home. Not much in Greeneville exept Ella's, which isn't much. But Down Home would be a good place. They have a lot of good people come in there.
Today I would like to let you know about two print magazines in Germany I'm writing for.
"Living Line Dance", reporting about line dance and country music, and "Folk Magazine", reporting about folk and country music. The magazines are high respected in Europe. They offer you a good chance to publicize yourself in Europe and Germany.
For more information, please contact me at MySpace or send email to Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de with the headline "Advertise at Living Line Dance and Folk Magazine".
Today I like to inform you, that you can read and watch interviews with your favorit country stars in Enlgish, German and French at http://www.CountryHome.de/Interviews .
Warm regards
Christian

Thanks for the friendship..How's life treating you?.. Hope you enjoy the music and message behind it. My mission in life is to fight Human Trafficking. understanding the individual pain of others is sometimes to painful for an other individual to touch and that is frightening ...what i mean is that someone whose life is not traumatized and brutalized as a regular sequence of every day events unconsciously seeks the camouflage and shelter of apathy and banality from the reality of such devastating anguish and terror ...but the spirit of young people who are used as sex slaves in the systematized global industry of human trafficking is now reaching out to the human fellowship in hope and desperation and through technology ...it is scary when humanity turns a blind eye to this horror ...its like ignoring genocide whilst it is happening ...what i am asking is that if you hear the cry of these young people who are existing in an environment of torture and brutality each and every day that you then please do not turn away from them ...please reach deeply into your heart and soul and please in 2009 join a movement or become a part of an event that challenges modern slavery in the 21st century ...
CountryHome Forum have more than 5,000 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 50,000 readers.
Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.
I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
