Bio
Dust on the Breakers isn’t a band—it’s a musical collective in perpetual flux, directed by Old West aesthetics and nostalgic American rock. The revolving group adapts itself with every lineup, every live show, every band photo to what is needed at the moment; be that a thoughtful melody, a forlorn love song, or a raucous triumphant renewal. .... The group formed in 2006, a serendipitous convergence of three friends one isolated night in a Denver warehouse. Rare live shows and a rotation of guest musicians has kept the Breakers—core members Jeff Linsenmaier (The Czars), Jeff Davenport, and Tim Husmann (Crooked Fingers)— active in the time since, culminating with this year's American Reclamation. .... American Reclamation, mixed by Martin Feveyear (Crooked Fingers, Damien Jurardo), is a musical purge; a wild abandonment of former loves and lovers, a forward march to new, uncharted hopes. For years, Dust on the Breakers has been a band on the verge, and with the densely layered debut American Reclamation, it's about time for it to tip over. ........ .."A lush mixture of orchestral pop, slowcore, folk and dark Americana".. - Denver Post.... .."Ambitious, but never overbearing - a tough balance to achieve".. - AV Club.... .."Space rock with soul and refinement.".. - Denver Westword -
