After touring in support of their 2005 recording Atlas, which culminated in an opening spot for critically-acclaimed west-coast band Vetiver, Dustworks began an extended hiatus, which saw them say goodbye to their beloved Attic Studios. Following singer-songwriter Casey Stang's '08 excursion into solo acoustic work, the band came back together in 2009, and has recently opened for former Drive-By Trucker Jason Isbell, as well as performing as Michelle Anthony's band for her recent show at Turner Hall with the Wooldridge Brothers. Set-up in a new studio, Dustworks has been collecting songs and sounds to begin recording their next project, tentatively titled In Automatic Writing.
Hey thanks for the Happy bday wish. I just got back from Boston and NYC, quite a trip, but that is the reason for the delay. Anyway I hope all is well with you and your music is well. Tell the girls hello.
