Sounds Like
David Lazar.
I'd like to think that my music has its own unique feel and style to it, although I'm happy to admit that at times I may be influenced by various writers whom I admire, allbeit depending on the style in which I'm composing in.

David Lazar is a Brisbane based screen composer, pianist and teacher. He loves to be immerse in the writing of a score or a piece of music, and then discovering the incredible talent from Brisbane musicians during the collaborative recording stages of the creative process. He is also known for working well with samples from his extensive musical instrument library, as well as programming and working with electronic sounds and rhythms. He has a strong interest in world and cross cultural music alongside his soundtrack, classical, electronica, jazz, and rock interests.
David has completed a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus) and a Master of Music (M.Mus) in film composition. He has also been playing piano for twenty-two years, holding a C.Mus.A (AMEB) in classical piano performance, and an A. His favourite styles of photography are portraiture and landscape, and photos that contain an element of 'cannot be captured exactly again'; that is expressive people shots, action shots and any scenario with a unique aspect to it. He won the Best Wildlife 2008 category and the Best Culture and Portrait 2007 category in the Peregrine Photography of the World Competition. "Also
hugely enjoyable, highly original AND psychically useful is the music
of Australian duo The Scrapes, whose fiery epic guitar and abandoned
Mithraic fiddle pieces evoke images of lost Keltic lands inundated by
the oceans, lost Iberian & Armorican sea peoples and lost times
from beyond the beyond." Julian Cope

Hello :] Thanks for the add. I saw your "Jungle Temple" on Earthshots and you mentioned that you are a musician. So I thought I'd look for you and see if your music was as good as your photography. Dude, I have to say, you are one incredibly talented artist! :]
David, I enjoyed listening to your new score. I love it when I listen to music and can hear the theme... You do this very well! Have a great trip and bring us back some lovely photographs of your travels!
Thanks for being a HDFEST MUSIC friend. Lots of filmmakers and musicians have been signing up and we are seeing deals happen. Glad to see you are interested in what we are doing with matching musicians and filmmakers.
"When I'm Lost" was one of my first compositions I started working on when I was about 12 yrs old. It is my mother's favorite. Believe it or not, I composed it before the movie ever came out...but I do hear the same overtones as well. I enjoyed the soundtrack. Thomas Newman is one of my favorites. I especially like his work in the movie "Road to Perdition". Thanks for your kind words in return. I look forward to hearing more of your music!
i noticed Harry Gregson-Williams in your influences list. he's my favourite composer because he has done the music to the Metal Gear Solid games, minus the first one.
Coincidence? I'm actually i member of the ozprog forum, and thats how i know about you're band, and you lol. And by the way... Fireworks is one of the most beautiful pieces of music i've ever heard
