Dwarf planets was formed during the brief period of time in our solar system when Pluto was considered a full fledged planet. Dwarf planets brings together musicians of diverse experience spanning oceans and nations but winding inexorably to a meeting of the minds in Boulder. Coming soon to a solar system near you......Dwarf Planets.
Dwarf Planets is a 6 piece indie rock band from Boulder, CO that plays original music that is out of this world. Formed in 2006 when Pluto was still a full fledged planet, Dwarf Planets orbits the reggae and jam space of indie rock with startling, eclectic and original songs and arrangements. Dwarf Planets new EP - the Far and Away Sessions - is an impressive new recording that was called "Dazzling" by Carmen Allgood host of the Indie Music Wave. Anchored by British reggae veteran Stew Bailey on bass and former Little Women percussionist Gregg Freeman on drums, Pete Mayer and John McCorvie on guitar, Jeff Katzman on mandolin, and Eric Loew on violin Dwarf Planets rumble between rock, roots reggae, and gypsy jazz.
