I am influenced by a lot of people. Historically, people like Marcus Garvey and Malcolm X influence how i see the world. Artistically, I am inspired by people like Prince, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, R. Kelly, Madonna, Brian McKnight, Common, Kanye, The Roots, Talib, Mos Def, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Outkast. This list could go on forever, but if you have something to say, and you can move me, then i can definitely get down with you!
Sounds Like
Honestly, I don't think i sound like anyone. When I've done acapella performances, people have compared me to Talib Kweli, but i don't compare myself to anyone. My style and mood change with every piece that i create. I'm constantly challenging myself to try and explore new things with my creativity.
