Photography, fishing, boats, cars, radio controlled air planes and helicopters, computers, and Crown Royal.....Did I mention photography?
Music
Country, Rock, some Rap (not the nasty stuff!) and Moby....I like any music I can understand the words to. My newest favorite group's are 'Mogwai', 'Plain White T's' and 'Cold Play'
Movies
Any thriller, anything based on a true story, love to watch the bad guys get their ass's kicked and see the little person be the winner. Watch the movie "Rudy" and you'll know the type of film I mean. If Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman are in it, I'm there for as long as it lasts,....
Television
America's Got Talent, BIG brother, Survivor, CSI, Court TV, A&E....Anything that is real or tells a story based on facts.
Books
'The Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers' by Scott Kelby. This is a must have, if you shoot digital and use Photoshop CS3! Great techniques and tips thru-out the book. $50.00 US, but contains about $500.00 worth of tips. He also has the same title except for CS2 and it's packed with great information also.
'Stephen Johnson On Digital Photography' by Stephen Johnson. A lot of history of digital photography and his techniques. Worth the time to read with great photography thru-out. $40.00 US, check it out from your local library!
'The Confused Photographer's Guide to On-Camera Spotmetering' by Bahman Farzad. Ever wonder why your snow shots look gray or your images just don't look like what you thought they would? Take control of your metering with the simple process taught in this book. He even, condenses the whole book down to one page in the beginning and if you understand the process your done. The book is worth a trip to the library or $20.00 US at the bookstore.
'Photoshop Workflow Setups' by Eddie Tapp. Eddie shows you how to setup an efficient Photoshop workspace, optimized for the way you work as a photographer. Worth the $30.00 US price tag!
More to come....
Heroes
My Mom and Dad, every American soldier that has ever served and Roy Rogers.....
About me: I eat, sleep and dream photography. I love the capturing and work involved to bring an image from camera to print or viewing on the web. Anyone that shares this love of photography is my kind of person. I started taking photos with a Kodak Brownie my mother gave me at the age of 8 and have had the desire to capture images every since. I'm married to Kim, never had kids, though I love them. We have 2 dogs Mandy and Buddy, my two long haired Chihuahuas, they're my kids ;-) I served in the US Army, worked many years in aviation, have my pilots, A&P, and ASE master licenses...
