Dycian Maze began in late 2006 when founding members Omar, Ian and Simon met at a music college in Birmingham. A few months later, bassist Jon (who also attended the same college) joined the band. From here, the band worked hard writing and rehearsing original material, whilst at the same time searching for a lead vocalist. The search for a fitting vocalist caused a massive headache, and for a time actually started to halt the progress of the band. Almost a year and a half later, the band finally auditioned someone that fulfilled the role of lead vocalist. Completing the original line-up, Jaff joined in October 2008.
With Jaff now at the fore, Dycian Maze were in a position to move forward and start recording and gigging. Many of the songs written in the previous years were re-arranged, vocal lines added and some parts were even scrapped altogether. After a few months writing, arranging and rehearsing songs, the band decided to start the recording of a full, professional demo.
In early 2009, Dycian Maze recorded their first professional demo; titled 'Soldiers of the Grave'. 'Soldiers of the Grave' was recorded at The Oxygen Rooms, Birmingham and engineered by Tom Brookhouse.
In between recording, the band continued to write new material and played their first gig as 'Dycian Maze' at The Old Wharf, Digbeth, back in March 2009. Since then, they've played a handful of gigs in and around Birmingham and the Midlands.
The 'Soldiers of the Grave' demo was released in July 2009 and has received positive comments among fans and reviewers.
As of August 2009, Dycian Maze are booking as many gigs as possible to promote the demo and to try and build a bigger fanbase. Work has already started on writing material for the debut full album and this will be recorded sometime in 2010. To be continued......

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
Hey guys, sorry about the late reply, basically the band are up for it! Just gotta check that we can get the lifts arranged, i'll have an answer latest tomorrow night, but it's most likely gonna be a yeah :) Bill
we just wanted to thank you for adding us as friends, we are a new band from Birmingham and are working on material as we speak. The songs we are due to record over the next few months are bangin!! (There no ego in there at all, my words are chosen carefully and on the basis of 'would I buy this music myself....?') So we hope you like 'Like I Care!?' and 'Spitting Teeth' so far!! Keep your eyes peeled for updates on our Blog and the occasional bulletin, and feel free to drop by and leave us comments!!
