   About Dyer Street
When Dyer Street first went into the studio to start working on their debut album their goal was to create an album that would stand up against their favorite rock albums of the mid to late 70’s. The process began with the collaboration Jesse Wray and Dave Nelson who started to lay the groundwork for what was to become Dyer Street. They knew the first and most important element in making a great record is the songs. The result was The Rock Album, a debut CD full of great album cuts like The Question and Set Me Free along with three or four potential hit singles like Deaf Dumb n’ Blind and I’m Your Fool. After a year of promoting their debut CD and successfully selling copies all around the world Dyer Street went back to work in the studio in the summer of 2003. Now a self contained 4 piece band with Dave Nelson on vocals, Jesse Wray on guitar, Dan Lorenze on drums and James Hancock on bass and keyboards the group has put together a new CD for 2004 called West Coast Tragedy that has turned out to be an instant classic. The writing team of Wray/Nelson is still the driving force behind the band coming up with new rock classics like the title cut plus, Virgin Springs, Wicked World and Lovin’ Cup. Dan Lorenze contributes his writing ability on the hit single In Another Place In Time. James Hancock also collaborates with Jesse Wray on the epic ballad You Crossed The Line. With the band working together on the production of the record they have certainly captured the essence of the cynical life people can lead in Los Angeles. The CD is a lyrical adaptation of the West Coast story much in the way outsiders would never expect it to be. Dyer Street is the band you’ve been waiting for. Not concerned with the sound of today and dedicated to making music for the people who still love great rock albums that you can’t wait to sit down and enjoy from start to finish. The only thing that could be better than that is Dyer Street Live! ..
