Dylan has been performing for over two decades, with a CV of near unsurpassed and eclectic 'who's who' to just about catalogue and contain it.
Having spent the past four years focusing his own groups, garnering critical acclaim for his four albums and tandem nationwide tours.
Mostly self-taught, and having picked up the sticks to jam with his dad Yes guitarist Steve Howe in 1979, Dylan has been particularly influenced by Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Stewart Copeland, John Bonham and the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Igor Stravinsky, David Bowie and the Muppets.
Dylan has collaborated with the likes of Nick Cave, Damon Albarn, Portishead, Ian Dury and The Blockheads, Ray Davies, Gabrielle, Sir Paul McCartney, Stan Sulzmann and Courtney Pine.
An active member of The Blockheads for over 10 years and a kind of neo-veteran in studios and concert halls un-alike, this year sees Dylan touring with his new 'Unity 4' group as well as The Steve Howe Trio and The Blessing.

I really like the drums & drummers that to me, wrote the book: the studio and live players of the 60's & 70's. I play almost exclusively vintage drums (Gretsch & Ludwig) 4 piece kits with a selection of great Zildjian Cymbals (old & new).
Above are a few sample tracks of stuff over the years & there are other tunes that I'm on at the assorted MYSPACE PAGES OF :

Hi, Dylan. That was a great concert in Kendal last night. Thanks for taking the time to talk and to sign the CD for my wife's birthday. I hope the rest of the tour sounds just as great as last night's performance.
Love Bowie's seminal albums Low and 'Heroes'? Then be excited, be very excited...

Portishead's Adrian Utley, Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell, sax genius Gilad Atzmon, the Solid Strings and a plethora of UK talent) perform a one-of reimagining of David Bowie's Low and 'Heroes' as part of the London Jazz Festival - and we want you to be there!
