Dynasty Electric is an electronic duo working out of Brooklyn, NY featuring Jennifer DeVeau on vocals and theremin, and Seth Misterka on guitar, sax, vocal, keyboard, and computer. Previously DeVeau had cut her teeth touring England in a Beatles cover band called "Girl". Misterka started off playing sax with experimental jazz legend Anthony Braxton, eventually crossing over to electronic music, and performing with acts such as Shy Child and Hot Chip. Their first album 2004's "Black Box" won critical praise and took the band on tours of the US, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan, also landing them on MTV2, and Canada's Much Music. In 2008 the band reformed, performed a cross-country U.S. tour culminating in a series of performances at the Burning Man Festival, and recorded a new EP "Burning". In 2009, the group returned to duo format, played the SXSW Festival, released several new music videos. They will be opening for legendary band The Meat Puppets on tour this November. With their highly original sound and style and electrifying live show, Dynasty Electric appears to be on the verge of major crossover success.
