In the beginning of 2006 by Fleetwood and The Outlaw out of circumstance. Working under other people for nearly six years had not turned out in their best interest so they decided take their music into their own control. Together they released Fleetwood's solo mixtape "Gulf Coast Bo$$ V.2: Key 2 The City" in early 2006. It was at around this time that DME began working with other artists Main J (artist) and DbryJ (artist/producer).
In the process these two artist would become official DME members adding more depth to the sound of the group. As they steadily worked through the summer of 2006 they released two free mixtapes, The Battle Plan V. 1 and V. 2. In the process a young aspiring rapper from Philly, named Ill Lil joined the team in late 2006 to bring yet another style to the table. In 2007, DbryJ began working with his brother Jeremiah on a group entitled Black Dice. They have just recently release their first complete album "Shake 'Em Up". Main J also dropped a promotional mixtape "The Roll Up" in 2008 that was hosted HD out of Jacksonville (Main J's hometown). On that mixtape featured a multi-talented artist who would become DME's most recent member, Rio D. He's a rapper/producer who hails from NY and brings yet another sound to the already diversified DME. DME also works along with a few other artist such as Johnnie F.I.V.E., J-Hag (who also has a group w/Main J called Urked Out) Hot Yella, Whuzi, Mysdyce, and Tank among others. With a strong stable of young, unique, and talented artists DME is poised for the present and future. Our style of music can very from song to song always keeping you guessing of what’s coming next.
DME is currently working on the third mixtape of the Battle Plan series which should be available August of '09. Following that will be the release of super-mixtape, "The Takeover," featuring all original material all of DME's artists along with outside guests. Soon after you should anticipate future solos from all artists on the team.
