Darlington & the Dales Youth Orchestra is an independent youth orchestra for young people who are performing at grade six or above (or equivalent standard).
We have a clear artistic vision, which includes providing a varied and challenging repertoire whilst developing the musicianship of young people performing together under professional conductors and orchestral players.
Contemporary music and specially commissioned pieces are performed, in addition to established works.
We are always keen to hear of ideas of what or who we should have at brass next year! types of events, concerts, bands, players etc, what would you like to see at Brass2008 maybe you may want to be part of it?
Let us have your thoughts ideas etc after all this is a festival aimed at meeting the needs of brass players as well as promoting brass playing to new audiences and just having fun!
