Dúbb’l yoo T (pronounced ‘WT’ standing for Wayne Thomas) is a fresh new song writer and spoken word artist from London.
With a constantly expanding catalogue of pieces, Dúbb'l yoo T manages to capture the emotions experienced in everyday life through words and consequential poetry; in a way that provokes feelings that many people often feel they cannot share.
Upon his discovery that the added frustration of working 9 to 5 was teamed with the 24hr challenge of severe dyslexia, Dúbb'l yoo T decided to re-trace his artistic background, which included performing in theatres, tracking vocals to a few songs and various presenting jobs.
Using his combined passion for music and performing, Dubb'l yoo T has started the ‘Too Sexy for Radio’ campaign, which aims to increase the current awareness of dyslexia, highlighting it is a recognised disability in order to show that working with it, as opposed to against it, can produce hidden talents for the lives of those it affects.
Currently under this project are 3 radio dramas, one of which Dúbb'l yoo T has dramatised his own poetry pieces to form a brief window into his world.
During his so far short poetic journey Dúbb'l yoo T has had the pleasure of performing and supporting events such as ‘Poetry in Motion’, ‘Word 4 Word’ ‘Poetry Unplugged’ at the Poetry Cafe and ‘Inspire’ to name just a few.
His unique style has already been taken by many, and I’m sure many more to come…
