"Clever and sharp, intelligent without being preachy, dyslextasy puts an original spin on everyday things that has me smiling like a mofo. 'Mr. Sunshine' is the hilarious tale of an unwanted asshole at somebody's party. It's dead-on and fun as all get out and is a perfect example of how these guys wryly just nail it. Musically, dyslextasy mixes it up a bit, rocking out here, smoothly cruising along there, but it's always a great complement to their lyrics, which is really the strength of this band. There's also a fair amount of boozy hijinks on 'Live. Die. Repeat.', and as a habitual drunkard, I really appreciate that." – Ben Hunter, Askew Reviews

"One the finest songs happening these days on IAC is A BUG IN A JAR by a great Seattle based band 'dyslextasy'. Capturing your attention right off at the start is the sweeping furious rhythmic shots of guitar that's chopping away coupled with a great energy going on the percussive end with some stellar bass thumping away. With a great hook line like a bug in a jar sitting here alone in the back of cop car who can resist this one.The song contains intense high energy, great vocals , cool lyrics and stellar musicianship throughout the song. The song is well crafted with moments of quiet to help the progression along before they launch into their crazy story over and over and staying on that repeating theme which is just over 2 minutes. Listen to it once and you will be hooked." -- Blue Voodoo

"Dyslextasy: Hard to pronounce but not as hard as the tunes these guys are cranking out. It's like Willie Wonka spelled with a Dyslextasy and everyone should have a taste of the ear candy these guys bring. They came, they conquered, and are on the way to be yet another big named rock band that will pin Seattle on the hits list." -- Deejay WaR, SongPlanet.com

"Hard and raw, no messing Rock that grinds and slides like a steam roller or a heavy ice smoothing machine. There's no escaping this sound so let it roll over you" - JAWZ. IACMusic.com

"Now I understand why they kept calling me ‘Mr. Sunshine.’ I’m crestfallen." –The Rakish Cad

"We Will Not Be Afraid"

dyslextasy is a Seattle-based rock-n-roll band, built on a steady diet of rock, garage, punk influences. The idea for dyslextasy has been kicking around for several years, and finally came together in October 2007. The guys in the band have known each other for 10 years, and have been in and out of bands together over the years. They kept talking about putting together a killer band based on a shared rock-n-roll vision/manifesto. In October 2007, a number of things fell into place and the band was finally formed. By the end of November, they had recorded their debut EP, "Live. Die. Repeat.", which was released in early 2008 on Seattle indie label, Urban Cheese Records.

The band is hell-bent on keeping the fun in rock, and prove that it's cool to be a party rock band with a conscience. They also believe in delivering the best live show possible. The band is currently booking shows around the greater Seattle area in support of the release of "Live. Die. Repeat."

In November 2008 the band finished recording their full-length CD, "We Will Not Be Afraid", which will be released in early 2009 by Urban Cheese Records

They hope to see you at one of their shows.

Thanks for the call! Covered Vaporized? Way cool, man! You still have the LIG EP? Way mass cool!!! The grey, James Terell influenced cover (did you see that art installment in that building they tore down where the Starbucks in Pioneer Square is now?).

Anyway, we are getting around to releasing a bunch of stuff. With the state of the country now, aren't you finding the lyrics more applicable than ever?

thanks man!
