Brand Banks aka Anarky-Bio
Websters dictionary defines the word anarchy as confusion, chaos and disorder or a state of society without government or law. This perfectly describes the talented 16-year old artist known as Anarky da Kid. This Buffalo, New York native chose his rhyme name because when he first starting writing rhymes at the age of 11, it was out of pure anger and rage and he wished chaos and destruction upon any and everything he crossed paths with. Growing up with an older brother (D.R. Universal) who was already deeply involved in making music, he was influenced by many rappers who most people in his generation were not listening to. Old school artists such as Big L, Kool G. Rap and Rakim first lighted his passion and then current artists like Eminem, Nas and Common really encouraged him to test his lyrical ability.
With limited time in the hip-hop game his credentials may not be long but his talent and hunger should change that soon. He moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2004 and quickly linked up with a local hip hop group of other young rappers called South East Connections. This group did not make much noise on the local scene but it was there where Anarky realized that his effortless delivery along with his laid back rhyme style and clever punch lines would make him stand out from his peers. Rhymes like, “My ice so cold it snows in Texas/when Armaggedon come through you betta hold ya necklace/if not you’ll get choked til breathless gives you an example of his lyrical ability and catchy punch lines. During the past year he has developed more into a complete mc, focusing on song writing and how to rhyme about various topics. Since joining with No Question Music Group and becoming a member of the clique Armageddon, Anarky has recorded songs and will soon be featured on various upcoming projects from the label.
The future seems very bright for this teen mc as long as he remains hungry and dedicates himself to his craft. If the name Anarky means chaos and destruction, I fear for any rapper that tries to challenge this lyrical beast.
Yo B I didn't know you were doing it like this. Keep doing your thing brother. You got the right people around you. Keep getting your grown man on and stay hungry baby!
