Eagleslayer was formed in 1995 by founding members Clark Smokes, Mike Hankins, and Lori Spades.
Originally, the band's sound was a reaction to the mainstream, watered-down "metal" that was quickly becoming widely accepted in America's pop culture. They set out to reaffirm that the true spirit of metal still existed, albeit not in heavy rotation on Top 40 radio or even MTV. The wall of sound created by Eagleslayer's blistering beats and chaotic guitar riffs alienated all but the most die-hard metal fans.
Then one day they all died and these guys took over. They ruined everything.
