   About THE EARACHES
NEW RELEASE!
The Earaches - Time On Fire (Steel Cage Records)
"Like the legendary Sonics before them, this Seattle band personifies high-energy rock ‘n’ roll, and their 3rd album is an even rawer, more feral take on their primal garage-punk sound. The band delivers one concise, explosive, no-frills blast of rock ‘n’ roll after another for one of this year’s most exciting rock albums, local or otherwise."
~ Don Yates / KEXP Music Director

*******************************************
"Also celebrating a new release are the brash boys in The Earaches, one of the city's most undervalued treasures. Time on Fire (Steel Cage Records) gives off all the noxious fumes a classic punk manifesto must, seething with carnal yearnings and deranged melodies, and acted out with enough dangerous attitude to make it worth the risk of giving yourself, well, an earache (their volume knows no bounds)."
~ BY HANNAH LEVIN - The Stranger
Original Review - http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=104370

PUNK Magazine 20 listening party (Summer 2007)
Review for "Time On Fire" CD
(Jack): "Morrison move over. Playin' with feeling instead of intellect, isn't that what rock 'n' roll is all about?"
(Walt): "I like the way these guys do their thing. This is rock 'n' roll the way it's supposed to be. It's got attitude, and it's got the energy."
(Gerry): "This local Seattle band really reminded me of the Seattle punk rock bands in the '80s. Great live sound. These sound like the kind of guys who listened to a lot of those old bands and keep the torch going."
(Bridget): "A sufficient dose of pure soul in the garage stew to make me appreciate their cajones."
(Holmstrom): "This is more like it: punk rock 'n' roll. But we're hearing so much good stuff it's getting difficult to say anything other than this is really good so I'm gonna look for something really bad to put on next..."

THE EARACHES - "TIME ON FIRE" (STEEL CAGE RECORDS)
"With the release of 'Time on Fire', The Earaches take The Garage That Rock Built and burnt it to the fucking ground."
"'So Into You' is a radio friendly garage rock dream."
"You know when you get a song stuck in your head?... Currently, I have every song on Time on Fire stuck in my head......"
"The Earaches are pain I can’t do without."
"KEXP, local Seattle radio station, and local music champions, also are huge fans. KEXP has listeners around the world. KEXP’s support has done nothing but good things for The Earaches. And they deserve it."
"Fuck, if this record ain’t right, I don’t know what is."
"Time on Fire puts The Earaches at the top of the garage rock heap. Right where they belong."
~ Cherrybomb (Sleazegrinder)

The Earaches - Time On Fire (Steel Cage Records)
"For my money, The Earaches are one of thee best bands playin' rock 'n' roll in the underground today, ........"
"Guitars rule on Time On Fire, ....."
"..... we get the best song about a girl I have heard in ages, 'So Into You', blunt and to the point and rocks like all get out."
"Live Free" and "Our Own Thing"? Well, the titles pretty much sum them up: Do what you want on your own terms and don't let anyone tell you what to do or be. Hell, you could even call it The Earaches' call to arms.
"Useless" is one of the CD's standout tracks, ......."
"Highly recommended for anyone who likes their rock 'n' roll honest, gimmick-free, and just plain' ROCKIN'."
~ Peter Santa Maria (Now Wave - November 3, 2006)

*******************************************
5 out of 5 Rolling Rocks! TIME ON FIRE - The Earaches (Steelcage Rec.)
"....this is a great slice of direct, fiery and fuss free rock that pushes all the right buttons in the right order. It’s fast, punchy and catchy as hell."
"Over the past week or so I’ve found it has that elusive quality whereby the louder and more often you play it the more you’ll like it."
"The CD closes with the title track, ... It’s the perfect, cryptic comedown of a closer, and one that bears repeated listening."
~ TJ Honeysuckle for I-94 Bar

4.5 out of 5 stars ---TIME ON FIRE - The Earaches (Steelcage Records)
"There is one hands-down brilliant single here, "Useless," which genuinely ranks up there with the Mudhoney classic "Touch Me I'm Sick" for its pummeling adolescent angst."
"........as good as straight-up lo-fi garage rock gets at the moment."
~ Stewart Mason, All Music Guide

*******************************************
"Hell Yeah! Bring on the smutty, gritty punk rock. The Earaches have a saucy swagger that appeals to the senses with twinges of primal rockabilly and preacher-style, howlin' rock'n'roll."
~Punk Planet

*******************************************
"That was incredible! Sure it's a little loud, but it's good. That was insane
You do not want to miss this band live! The new CD is called Get The Revolution Out Of Your Head, and it's impossible to get those songs out of your head."
~ Cheryl Waters/KEXP (from live on-air performance)

*******************************************
"Supremely snotty garage punk ......."
"..... as primal as the current garage rock revival gets."
"..... 'Get the Revolution Out of Your Head' hits the listener with one brilliant two minute garage stomper after another."
".... the deadon brilliant 'The Best You Could Was Not Good Enough' ....."
"....... takes the Earaches to a whole new level of wicked awesomeness."
~ Stewart Mason, All Music Guide

*******************************************
"The Earaches ferociously crank out a primal musical melee of Bowery-style Rock'n'Roll belligerence. It's a barreling, out-of-control beer bottle smash-fest of bass-thumpin' bad boy bravado, crazed drum-crashing fury, gritty and menacing guitar screeching flare-ups, and sloppy-drunk, demon-spit vocals that'll curdle your blood and curl your toes something god-awful fierce. I can unequivocally attest that Hell hath no fury like the rockin' wrath of The Earaches."
~ Under The Volcano

Below are two videos of The Earaches @ The Sunset Tavern on 03-07-08. The first clip is of the song 'Useless'.
The second clip is of an un-released song titled 'Then There's You'.

Seattle is planning a new $226 million jail!

While schools are being closed and safety-net programs are getting axed under the weight of the recession, Initiative 100 demands the city reconsider the human costs of the jail, research more effective alternatives to incarceration, and put the matter to a vote. Help get I-100 on the ballot and dance the night away while you’re at it!

Co-sponsored by the Committee for Efficiency and Fairness in Public Safety, the Real Change Organizing Project and Seattle Education Access. Proceeds will benefit sponsors.

This Sunday April 19 at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard (5433 Ballard Ave NW), 9pm, $6, 21+
