Arctic Monkeys, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, The Music, The Stone Roses, The Strokes, The Zutons etc
Being able to play instruments and write songs yet working in wanky, dead end jobs would be a major one. The ever increasing passage of time is another.
Sounds Like
"Loving the BRMC/Strokes/Death In Vegas/Artics sound"- Conor Mitchell.
"These gentrified rocknroll coves sound rather a lot like The Faces."-The London Particular.
"Here, stick that Vendetta Ride on. Best tune in ages, sounds like Muse or somebody"- Johnson.
"I don't think it is possible to overstate the rubbishness of the Earls of Enkalon"-Niall from Heliopause.
The Earls of Enkalon were a long time in the making. All members had at one stage dabbled in the music business only to find people drifting away and growing less and less committed. It looked like the Earls were doomed to drink in the same bar and talk the same shite every week for the rest of their lives. Until a twist of fate inspired them to once more take arms and they answered the call with heroic zest. Formed from the ashes of several ill-fated projects, the Earls of Enkalon are a collective of serious men who make serious music.
The Earls established ownership on March 8th 2009.

lol think i might have replied to myself earlier, yeah man it's upstairs in the function room they have no gear at all lol we're hiring the gear from our practice room and pa etc it's costing us 50 quid plus backline so charging £3 on the door to cover the cost of that and the rest split between the bands if thats ok, our practice room doesn't have a monitor though so last time we did this we turned one of the amps into a monitor so i could hear what i was singing lol, yeah ronnies is a nice pub now, a far cry from what it was like before plus the food is cracking.
