Earshot Offers Fans New Music Digital Downloads For Free!
On October 16, Listeners Can Download Earshot’s New Single,
“The Ugly Truth”
LOS ANGELES, CA – October 17, 2009 – Always looking to push the envelope, Earshot lead singer, Wil Martin announced today that the band is launching their official website, and free online music distribution channel, www.earshotband.com. Starting October 20, Earshot’s new single,
“The Ugly Truth” will be available as a high quality MP3 complete with ringtones, lyric sheet and exclusive artwork.
“Obviously giving away music isn’t a new idea since bands have been doing it for some time,” acknowledges Martin. “However, I do think ‘albums’ are becoming more irrelevant. This new venture allows us, as a band, to connect with our fans in an innovative way, using all of the tools of technology that’s been put at our disposal. As the late Dimebag Darrell once said to me, ‘You gotta either jump on the train, or get run over and killed by it.’”
As a follow up to “The Ugly Truth,” Earshot will continue to roll out new material on the site every two to three months, giving fans immediate access to the most current, fresh music from the band.
“As an artist, I’m continuously evolving and being inspired each and every day,” said Martin. “I want to deliver music that’s artistically in the present and at the speed of now. My philosophy is simple, keep our music new and exciting while at the same time making it easily accessible.”
To download the free music, fans simply go to www.earshotband.com and fill out a private email form. By participating in Earshot’s site, fans not only get free music, but they can also reach out to the band directly, creating a more personal, uninterrupted dialogue.
“The vision is to build a stronger relationship with our fans,” explains Martin. “We want to get to know them. Now that we’re fully independent, we have the latitude to do just that – which is very cool!”

What do I have to do to get a signed cd for my husband? He is set to come back from his second tour in Iraq in Januaury. He absolutely loves you all and I would love to get him a signed cd as a surprise from his 14 month old duaghter Breelyn.
