Hi! My name's Kirk and I've started this myspace page to help promote the Earth Dance festivities in Safety Harbor Florida on Saturday, September 16th this year. There'll be a lot of great bands playing including the very funky "Jazz Ole" and "Impulse" an excellent reggae band from the beautiful island of Dominica. There'll be tons of other music too. Also, there'll be Interactive Children's Theatre led by Andrew Ian MacGregor and dance led by Erik Thomas of "Soul Mystique". MC Chante Ishta of WMNF's Native American show "Two Worlds" will be on hand as well as music from DJ Uno.

Proceeds benefit the Safety Harbor Regional Museum and the good folks at WMNF.

There's a serious situation here at the Zebloki VA Medical center and I need as much help as I can get on this. Our Native American Vets have been asking to hold Sweatlodge Ceremonies on the hospital grounds. We have been called 'pagan' for wanting this,even though they let us have Pipe Cermonies. To give us one without the other is insane to say the least! I have contacted the head administrater at the hospital but my requests have fallen on deaf ears. So I'm turning to you,my friends, to help 'turn up the heat' so to speak, on the Head Administrater to allow us a Sweatlodge. Many of our patients are Lakota and want a Sweat badly. Emails have been fruitless. So,to that end, I'm requesting that everyone who understands the importance of the Sweatlodge to contact,not only the head administrater, but all their friends too and flood this man's office with phone calls demanding our right to a Sweatlodge and it's non-pagan status. The person at the VA medical center to contact is; Robert H. Beller ph. 414-384-2000 ext.41025 If any of you can contact Chief Looking Horse,PLEASE bring him in on this.
