EarthFair 2009
Earth Day New York celebrated the 39th Anniversary of Earth Day! On Friday, April 24th from 12pm to 7pm AND Saturday April 25th from 11am to 5pm EarthFair is an outside day of fun at Grand Central Terminal on Vanderbilt Avenue from 42nd to 45th Streets.
The Giant Earth Images show, projected on the north columns in the Main Concourse, features insipring environmentally-themed works of art, messages and graphics created by internationally acclaimed artists such as Rafal Olbinski, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Romero Britto and others. 2009 EARTHFAIR:
April 24th and April 25th; two-day environmental festival at Grand Central Terminal hosted by Earth Day New York and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Here you will find interactive displays, environmental organizations, green companies and live music on Vanderbilt Avenue and inside Vanderbilt Hall, a Green Home Pavilion featuring a range of products and practices that will help you create
a more sustainable and healthy home. In addition, Giant Earth Images will illuminate the historic Grand Central Terminal's soaring main concourse with inspiring environmentally themed quotes, messages, photographs and graphic images contributed by artists such as Rafal
Olbinski, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Keith Haring, among others. The show, projected onto two of the north columns in the concourse, will run from 10am-8pm from April 20th through April 26th.

Earth Day New York was founded in 1989 by a broad coalition of environmental groups to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Earth Day in New York City. It is a nonprofit organization with the mission of serving as a catalyst for ongoing education, action and change to help preserve the environment.
