Earth from Above growl and sneer their way through Partakers, their debut EP, with two studied metal vocalists at the helm; and the EP is just a taste of what will come out of Kevin Penner's recording studio in February 2009. Josh Cortez and Kevin Walsh front the band with great intensity and dexterity, fluidly dueling death growls and guttural screams. They're backed by the skillful intricacies of Anthony Hernandez, Oscar Mora and Roy Quezada who showcase considerable technique on guitar and bass. The blast beat prowess of Mike Cano provides a solid foundation to carry Earth from Above's zeal for adrenalized metal which comes from influences like All Shall Perish, The Acacia Strain, Meshuggah and Falling Cycle.
I'm blessed that I have music like yours to worship with.I crank this in my car and feel the Spirit move,it's brought me from chills to tears to joy,and undeniable power. When I gave up the things of the world ,gratefully metal was not one I had to completely part with.I hope God blesses you with a new vocalist and guitarist so you may continue to produce music for people like me to worship with.May the Father continue his guidance for EFA in Jesus' name.
