EARTH INC. is a satirical novel by Michael Bollen, who's one half of comedy cut and paste 'band' Cassetteboy.

Set in the not-distant-enough future, EARTH INC. takes consumerism to its illogical conclusion. One man struggles against homicidal customer care machines, conspiracy nuts and professional cockneys, in a desperate quest for time off work and a nice lie down.
EARTH INC. takes place in a world world gone mad with consumerism, a world run by corporations, a world where people are addicted to new technology that monitors and dominates their every move.
At this point I should probably emphasise that EARTH INC. is a work of fiction. And that it's a comedy.
The book looks at issues like the growing gap between rich and poor, loss of privacy and the demonisation of chavs, and makes jokes about them. Lots and lots of jokes.

Hey Earth Inc, hope you're having a great day! Say, do you believe in God? If so, do you think it comes with a tangible science we can hope to understand one day, or should it remain a mystical concept? Also, how do feel about the odds of making contact with another intelligent species in the universe?
