    Anneka's Interests
GeneralThis is 'Wolf', so named after the wolf in Michelle Paver's 'Chronicles of Ancient Darkness' books. Wow, they're amazing books. If there was any time I would want to go back and live in, those would be the times. People living off what nature offered and respected everything around them. A time when living and survival was more important.

I love learning about the planet, animals, reading, aromatherapy, alternative therapy, discussion/debates, natural phenomenon/disasters, geography, anime, manga, watching films.

How cute is that? If you are a hunter of these amazing animals then don't bother talking to me. I have no interest in people who are cruel to animals.

Boxing is my favourite sport. Muhammad Ali is the greatest!

About me:

Photobucket

Hey there! I'm Anneka, I'm 21 and I live in Oakham, Rutland in the East Midlands. I currently work for Lands' End Direct Merchants (an American mail order company). It's not really what I want to be doing with my life but it'll keep me going for now. I'm moving in with my boyfriend in a couple of weeks so that's going to be cool. Really hectic with packing and all. I am currently in the middle of constructing a new site so there may be a lot of swapping of things in the next few days! =)

This is 'Mother Earth' (that's what I've named it anyway). I believe that the Earth is the most important thing in our lives and to abuse it the way we do, when it has given us life and we wouldn't even be here without it is just disgusting.

I am a firm believer in human induced global warming. I can't see how people can carry on doing what they're doing when we are on the brink (if not already there) of a huge catastrophe. For some reason people can't give up their 'things' (cars, MP3 players, new mobile phones every six months). They can't stop wanting more and more. These things will never make a person happy because there will always be something new you want afterwards. It's called the 'happiness formula'. We should open our eyes more. There is so much around us that we just take for granted. The majority of people will only realise it's there when it's gone.

Global Warming

I am a vegetarian...not because I don't agree with eating meat. Far from it. I am well aware that as humans, it is natural for us to eat meat. The reason is because I don't believe in the way it is done - mass slaughter. So much of it goes to waste that way. You see no end of chickens being left at *shudders* Tesco at the end of the day. Also, mass 'production' of animals causes more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I love wolves...they are my number one favourite animal. Elegant, beautiful and wise. They are quite possibly the most misunderstood creatures on Earth. I am 100% for the reintroduction of wolves along with bears, lynxes and beavers into Britain. They have never been recorded to kill a human in North America and have only ever attacked when provoked. The Yellowstone wolves are the best example that reintroduction programs work of any species. I think it's high time they made a return.

Nuclear power

I don't drink much - alcohol bores me.
I don't smoke - and I would much appreciate it if people didn't do it around me. It may be your right to smoke but it's everybody else's right to breathe. Keep lung cancer and heart disease to yourself.
I don't drive and never will - I refuse to contribute to global warming in that way and funnily enough, we were born with these things called legs. Use them!
I hate MP3 players - why does everyone feel the need to have music in their ears all the time?
I hate Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond...please hurry up and die and stop sexualising cars and polluting.
I hate text language - we were taught to spell from an early age for a reason.
I love animals and the Earth and everything natural.

What is your Spirit Creature ?(Mythical creatures Pics!!)
Solitary Wolf

You are mostly a loner, because you yearn freedom, like the Solitary wolf. Your soul and heart are a mystery. You still have friends, who are close to you. Youre usually just hidden in the background. The moon is wat you relate to. Your strength is your will power.

Who I'd like to meet:
Al Gore, David Attenborough, Ray Mears, Stella McCartney, Muhammad Ali, Joe Calzaghe, Amir Khan, Hayao Miyazaki, Takashi Miike, Bill Oddie, Hideo Nakata, Amy Jo Johnson...coz she was my hero when I was a kid...lol!, Leonardo Dicaprio...coz of his work on global warming and he was amazing in Blood Diamond (his best acting by far!), anyone with a love for wolves, the environment and/or boxing.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
