New
CRAC Formed
Starting
later this month, The Earthquake Weather Project will set into place the
California Research Awareness Corridor (CRAC), designating the 400-mile span
between Los Angeles and San Francisco as the primary focus of future project
awareness campaigns and concentrated research efforts. Given the time and
manpower intensive requirements of this project, it has become necessary to
narrow the focus in order to more accurately test and assess the validity of the
ideas being examined. Stay tuned for further developments.

EarthquakeWeather.org Goes Live
from San Francisco
At 5:12
a.m., we were among the crowd gathered around Lotta's Fountain (at the intersection of Market and Kearny) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1906 San
Francisco Earthquake and Fire. Using a laptop and wireless connection, we kicked
off The Earthquake Weather Project by launching the website at the exact moment
a 7.8 temblor tore through the city a century ago.

How to Participate on MySpace
Anyone on MySpace can submit earthquake predictions without having to
register. As on the website, participation in The Earthquake Weather Project
is free and voluntary. Ideal candidates typically consider themselves to be
"earthquake sensitives" who maintain a track record of infrequent predictions
(on average, one forecast every several months to few years) but with accuracy
well above the 50% range on the basis of timing. The creators of this project
understand that a non-judgmental environment free of any liability for failed
forecasts (or even successful ones) is vital. Rest assured that we won't hold
anything against you, right or wrong. So, the next time you get that strange
feeling in the pit of your stomach, go ahead and tell us... you might not be the
only one!
STEP
1:
In the
coming weeks and months, keep a watchful eye for any of the following
conditions of interest:
(1)
a
certain something about the weather
Example: None. You'll just know it.
(2) pets behaving out of the norm
Example: Dogs that never bark except just
before an earthquake.
(3) an increased tension and uneasiness amongst
people
Example: Aggressive driving
behavior appearing in greater frequency than usual.
(4) an ominous stillness in the air
Example: A dead silence as if time and
everything suddenly froze.
STEP 2:
If
you observe any of these conditions of interest, immediately note the
following:
a)
location of occurrence(s)
b)
which occurrence(s) you are reporting (based on the numbers listed above)
Then,
using the button below, send us a message with this information. That's all
there is to it.
