During the fall of 2008, the birth of a new dark force was brought forth when
the alliance of Demon (bass) and Amon (guitar) joined forces. After enlisting
the talents of Rotaxe (guitar), Baphomet (drums) and Philthy (vocals) the band
set forth to unleash a force of metal never before heard upon the masses.
Incorporating influences ranging from death, black, Viking and grunge metal,
these 5 members began to create a unique sound unheard of before until now.
With drive, passion and dedication Earthot has developed into a machine of fury,
never once compromising their sound or ideals, and this has in fact proven
successful for them. Within one year, Earthrot has opened International Acts
such as Tyr, Suidakra, Alestorm, Napalm Death, and Kataklysm and National Acts
such as Toxic Holocaust, Coliseum, and Trap Them.
In 2009 Earthrot released thier debut EP, The New Plague, and
received favorable reviews from fans and the media alike. Filled with dark,
menacing vocals, pounding bass lines, intricate guitar work, and double bass
blast beats, this EP is a must have for any true fan of metal.
Watch for Earthrot as they will soon be on a national tour, bringing their fury
to a venue near you soon.
