Who I'd like to meet:
You!
-----------------------------------------
Jefferine Jean-Jacques Kerr was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She now resides in the Blackrock area of Bridgeport, CT. She is the mother of 3 energetic boys who actively keeps her on her toes. Jefferine works in Stamford, CT as a Professional Resource Administrator, however, her love has always been in photography.
Since the age of 7, Jefferine subconsciously had a natural love for photography. During the many road trips with her mother from New York to Canada, Jefferine was mesmerized by scenic images that she thought would make great photographs.
However, it was in 1997 after taking her first Black & White Photography class at a local college, that her love was actually realized. She continues to take various courses and workshops throughout the Northeast. Her photography has been praised by top professionals in the field, such as, Bert Mooney and Helene Glassman.
Jefferine is a contemporary photographer and her style is very simple and artistic. Her passion lies in capturing the soul and heart of everything she photographs – the unique moments and authentic expressions in its natural state. She prefers to let her subjects take the lead, following closely behind to capture genuine moments rather than something staged or forced. She shoots exclusively on location and uses natural light photography.
Jefferine’s images become portraits and characters of her inner self. She believes that everyone is naturally beautiful - it just takes the right photographer to capture that beauty.
