You take my water. Burn my Olive Trees. Destroy my house. Take my job. Steal my Land. Imprison my Mother. Bomb my country. Starve us all. Humiliate us all. But I am to blame: I shot a rocket back.

Israel admits: "No Hamas rockets were fired during ceasefire"

-------GAZA-------
What if Hamas dumped all their rockets in the sea tomorrow? Would Gazans enjoy the same freedoms as other nations? Would they be able to open their sea port to foreign ships and rebuild and operate their airport? Would they be able to import and export and carry on trade and develop their economy and prosper like other countries?
Would they be allowed to exploit and develop their offshore gas field? Would their fishermen be allowed to fish in unpolluted waters? Would their young people be able to come and go and take up places at foreign universities?
Would Israel clear out of Gazan airspace permanently? Would the Israeli navy cease its piracy and stay out of Palestinian territorial waters? Would you and I be able to visit Gaza direct?
Fat chance. None of this would suit Israel. So Gazans would be no better off. Their tormented half-existence would continue.
Dub the earth formed back in the early 80s the original line up- Drums-Lynn, Bass-Fred (went on to be RDF original bass player), Guitar-Dion & Austin, Keyboards-Luap (went on to be RDF original keyboard player), Percussion-Jim. With frequent vocal by Steve Swann (Military Surplus, Revolutionary Dub Warriors) and Ital Malk. After Fred and Luap left for RDF the roll of keyboard player was taken up by first Richard Patterson (Military Surplus, Revolutionary Dub Warriors) then by Giles before for the last ten years Emma. The roll of bass player was for a time filled by a combination of Steve Swann and Ital Malk until Dion moved over to playing bass and Dan Foster was recruited on guitar. At present you can add a new keyboard player Matty Mann and percussion and decks Bullet.
The main exposure Dub the Earth got was on the free festival circuit of the late 80s and early 90s. By the mid to late 90s they had also played festivals like Glastonbury, Womad and the Kingston green fair. In the last years of the 1900s and first few of 2000 the band only done studio work, mainly here at Earthsounds, recording as Dub the Earth and also under the name True Earthers. As thier children grow the band started back gigging after a gap of 8 years.

A society whose citizens refuse to see and investigate the facts, who refuse to believe that their government and their media will routinely lie to them and fabricate a reality contrary to verifiable facts, is a society that chooses and deserves the Police State Dictatorship it's going to get.
