Earthwatch is an international environmental charity that brings science to life for people concerned about the Earth's future. Founded in 1971, Earthwatch supports scientific field research by offering volunteers the opportunity to join research expeditions around the world.
Earthwatch recruits close to 4,000 volunteers every year to collect field data in the areas of rainforest ecology, wildlife conservation, marine science, and many more. Through this process, Earthwatch involve, educate, and inspire a diversity of people, who actively contribute to conserving our planet.
There are currently 130 Earthwatch expeditions worldwide and they all need the support of volunteers - without your help we simply couldn't gather all the information that we need to make a difference.

I just did the Dolphins of Greece Expedition back in Sept. It was truly amazing. I work for Heal the Bay in Santa Monica, CA; it was so relevant to what I do now w/ oceanic conservation, and I'm so glad I did it!

Hi,
Thanks for the add.
I participated in The Macaws of the Peruvian Amazon in Feb '06, it was the most beautiful place, where I met a lot of fascinating people, in particular Don Brightsmith the project scientist. And as for the wildlife, it was amazing. Being able to offer a small amount of help towards a conservation is a huge privilege. I have now returned to college to study a FdSC Animal Science (Bird Biology) with the dream to work in South America on further research projects, mainly to work with Hyacinth Macaws.
Many thanks for a life changing experience, and keep up the good work.
